After graduating from the CCA, and completing her training with
renowned chef Julian Serrano, Yvonne spent time in France and Italy
working in several restaurants honing her skills before returning
to the US. Once back, Yvonne worked in corporate food service as
a food service director, where she developed organizational skills
she restructured to fit the family kitchen, now a cornerstone of
her unique approach to cuisine in the home.
All that cooking was expanding not only Yvonnes experience,
but her waistline as well. While working as a sous chef in Washington
state, Yvonne joined the local health club and began taking aerobic
classes. She loved it so much she decided to begin teaching. She
soon opened her own aerobics studio and juice bar and quickly became
so busy she open two more. The town in which her studio was located
was supported by a large Navy and Marine community, where Yvonne
became known as the Lou Gossett in leotards. |
In addition to assisting private clients, Yvonne is co-owner of Poised, a private health and wellness company specializing in personal fitness training, nutrition counseling & lifestyle consulting. She has been featured on TV and radio sharing her kitchen organization tips and simply delicious and elegant recipes. Her first book, Your Fit Gourmet, Cooking Secrets for the Overscheduled Woman is packed with tips, tweaks, and techniques.
